Job Summary

Presidency School Mangalore is looking for a passionate, skilled, and experienced English Teacher to teach students at the Middle and High School levels . The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Middle and High School students.
• Teach English Language, Literature, Grammar, Reading and Writing skills as per the school curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
• Develop students' communication, comprehension, vocabulary, creative writing, and critical-thinking skills.
• Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Monitor students' academic progress and provide additional support where required.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage participation in debates, public speaking, creative writing, literary activities, and other language-related activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and school management to support students' overall development.
• Maintain academic records and complete all assigned documentation within timelines.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, workshops, and other academic activities.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's / Master's Degree in English from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred.
• Candidates with relevant teaching qualifications and experience will be considered.

Experience

• 2–8 years of teaching experience in Middle and/or High School.
• Experience in CBSE / ICSE / reputed schools will be an added advantage.
• Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and communication skills may also be considered.
