We are hiring: Senior Student Counsellor – Student Wellbeing

Kumaraguru Institutions, Coimbatore, is looking for an experienced counselling professional to support the emotional wellbeing and psychological needs of students across our higher-education ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling to students
• Support students in managing stress, anxiety, academic pressure, relationships, adjustment and other personal concerns
• Handle crisis intervention and facilitate appropriate professional referrals
• Conduct student-wellbeing and mental-health awareness programmes
• Collaborate with faculty, mentors, parents and institutional teams while maintaining professional confidentiality

Candidate Profile:

• Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Applied Psychology or Medical & Psychiatric Social Work
• Relevant professional certification or registration will be preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in counselling or psychological support
• Prior experience in counselling students in a college or university environment is mandatory
• Sound understanding of professional ethics, confidentiality, case documentation and referral protocols
