Enhancement Crew LeaderThe Enhancement Crew Leader is responsible for leading a team of 2-6 people performing a wide range of landscaping duties to enhance and maintain commercial properties. This includes sod installation, planting, pruning, irrigation, hardscape installation, and other property enhancement tasks. The role requires the use of hand tools, power equipment, and occasional light construction duties. This role reports directly to the Enhancement ManagerCore ValuesCulture of Safety – Safety is always job #1A Growing Tradition Plants, Personally, Financially and ProfessionallyEmployee Owned – Personal Pride in Success with an Owners MentalityExceptional Customer Experience – Delighting our Clients with our Products and ServicesGood Neighbors – Community Pride – Sharing our SuccessRespectability – Treating Others as we want to be treatedDuties/ResponsibilitiesTrain and mentor crew members to promote skill development and team performance with a strong emphasis on safetyCoordinate with supervisor on scheduled jobsEnsure proper materials are gathered/prepared and loaded for the day's taskDirect, assist, transport, & supervise your team during activities that may include installation of lawns & flower beds, installation of landscape lighting, cleaning up work sites, installation of water features, installation of masonry stone & pavers, installation of retaining wallsAssist with maintenance of seasonal services as needed, perform minor repairs & maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keepingReads and conveys information from sets of blueprintsEnsure safety of crew and equipment operationEfficiency and client standards are attainedConducting site inspections, provide hands-on leadership, and provide guidance for soil, planting, watering, and insect controlMaintains schedules, and reviews charts and reportsLandscape and plant material installation, flowerbed cultivation, flowerbed design layout and prep, tree and shrub pruning and shearingStandard landscape maintenance techniques required for mowing, trimming, mulching, pruning and clean-upAny other duties assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of safe operation of landscape and maintenance equipmentStrong organizational, leadership, and communication skillsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not requiredAbility to read blueprints and other instructions in EnglishKnowledge of plant material, and horticultural practicesWorks well in a crew/team environmentExcellent customer service skillsEducation and ExperienceHS Diploma or equivalent1-year of commercial landscape and install experience preferred1-year (minimum) experience managing 2+ person crewPhysical RequirementsOutdoor work environment in varying weather conditions.May require lifting up to 50 lbs and working with tools or machinery.Exposure to machinery, dirt, and dustMay require occasional overtime, including weekendsMay require travel to outside locations and overnight staysThis Job Description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising the position.
