Role Summary

Reporting directly to the Managing Partner (Founder), you will build and lead the firm’s BD, marketing, and PR function from the ground up. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving visibility, thought leadership, rankings, inbound opportunities, and supporting revenue growth. You will work closely with partners, practice heads, and the founder to professionalize client acquisition and brand building.

Key Responsibilities

✓ Develop & execute a comprehensive BD, marketing & PR strategy aligned with firm’s growth plan.

✓ Lead rankings submissions (Legal 500, Chambers, IFLR, etc.) and awards strategy.

✓ Oversee content and thought leadership programs (LinkedIn, newsletters, whitepapers, webinars, bylines).

✓ Manage media relations, PR agency (if engaged), and proactive pitching for earned media.

✓ Drive digital presence (website SEO, LinkedIn company & personal branding).

✓ Plan and execute events, client appreciation programs, and speaking opportunities.

✓ Build pipeline tracking, lead attribution, and BD support tools/processes for partners.

✓ Hire and manage a small high-performing team as the function scales.

✓ Measure and report on ROI of all marketing/BD activities.

Qualifications & Experience

✓ 8–15+ years in BD, marketing, or communications, ideally in a law firm, professional services or Big 4 /

consulting environment.

✓ Proven success in legal directory rankings, PR/media relations, content strategy, & digital marketing.

✓ Experience building functions from early stage is a strong plus.

✓ Strong understanding of the Indian corporate legal market (IBC, PE, regulatory) preferred.
