Role Description osition Supplier Quality Control Engineer

Duration of work 1st Sep 2026 to 31st Aug 2027 (12 Months)

Working: 6 days a week

Job Location Umargaon (Near Vapi – Gujarat) at Vendor works

Job Description

1. Review raw material Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) and witness incoming

inspection of plates, sections, pipes of various grades and approved makes.

Conversant with structural raw material codes and standards (IS ASTM)

2. Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure

Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records as per ASME

Section IX & AWS D1.1 and ensure only qualified welders/procedures are

deployed at supplier's shop.

3. Perform/witness inspection at supplier's premises as per approved drawings,

procedures, and QAP — including Dimensional Inspection, Fit-up Inspection,

Visual Inspection (VT), NDT (RT film review/UT/MT/PT), Weld Quality, Shot

Blasting / Paint Inspection, and final inspection prior to dispatch.

4. Ensure that the welding works are carried out as per the approved

WPS/PQR and welders are approved.

5. Monitoring of the Various production stages (Random fit-up, Welders

Qualification, Proper Weld consumable, Assemblies, Shot Blasting, Painting,

Drawing revision status) to ensure Quality of the product.

6. Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) / Quality Incident Reports (QIRs) to

the supplier for deviations from project/specification requirements. Review

supplier's Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Action

(CAPA) plans for closure and verify effectiveness of implemented actions.

7. Escalating any issues that may affect product quality & safety.

8. Reporting the progress/testing on daily & monthly basis.

9. Review supplier quality documentation as per standards, specifications &

QAP.

10. Inspection calls closure, Inspection portal & ensuring the reports are

uploaded. Issue Inspection Release Reports/Note

11. Inspection coordination with customer, vendor & other stakeholders

12. Verify the calibration status of monitoring and measuring devices.

13. Ensure all inspection/verification activities are carried out with utmost

safety, in compliance with site HSE norms, to protect self and colleagues.

Education Qualification

Mechanical Engineer:

Diploma: 8 Years minimum Experience

B.Tech : 5 Years Minimum Experience

NDT Certification NDT Level II (PT, MT, UT, RT) - Mandatory
