News Desk (Internship)

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented News Desk Intern to join our editorial team. The intern will assist the newsroom in monitoring, curating, writing, and publishing news content across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor breaking news, trends, social media, and wire updates
• Assist in writing, rewriting, and updating news stories
• Create SEO-friendly headlines and captions
• Fact-check information before publication
• Coordinate with reporters, photographers, and video teams
• Upload stories, galleries, and videos on CMS
• Track trending topics and audience engagement
• Support the editorial team during live events and breaking news situations

Requirements:

• Strong command of English (knowledge of regional languages is a plus)
• Interest in journalism, digital media, and current affairs
• Basic understanding of SEO and social media trends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment
• Good communication and time management skills
• Familiarity with CMS and digital publishing tools is preferred

Eligibility:

• Journalism, Mass Media, Literature, or Communication students/graduates preferred
• Prior internship or campus media experience is an advantage
