Role Overview

As a BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating BIM project delivery within your discipline while working closely with BIM Team Leads, Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Consultants, and BIM Modelers. You will ensure BIM models meet project requirements, maintain high quality standards, and support multidisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires strong technical expertise, coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple project deliverables while maintaining quality and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models throughout various stages of project delivery.
• Execute assigned BIM deliverables in accordance with project schedules and client requirements.
• Support the successful delivery of multiple projects while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Monitor assigned tasks and proactively communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges.
• Assist BIM Team Leads in achieving project milestones and delivery objectives.

BIM Coordination

• Coordinate models with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure design consistency and constructability.
• Perform clash detection, model reviews, and coordination using industry-standard BIM tools.
• Identify, document, track, and resolve coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in technical coordination meetings, design reviews, and project discussions.
• Support constructability reviews and coordination workshops.

Technical Excellence

• Prepare BIM models, construction documentation, schedules, quantities, and drawing sets.
• Ensure consistency between BIM models, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Maintain model accuracy, organization, and project data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support model federation, issue tracking, and digital coordination workflows.

Quality Assurance

• Perform self-checks and internal quality reviews before submissions.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, company workflows, and client requirements.
• Verify model integrity, parameters, documentation, and project data.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality across all assigned deliverables.

BIM Standards & Digital Delivery

• Follow BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and organizational workflows.
• Work within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or other Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms where applicable.
• Maintain proper version control and document management practices.
• Contribute to process improvements, workflow optimization, and BIM standardization initiatives.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with internal project teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Communicate technical issues and project progress proactively.
• Support coordination meetings and ensure timely resolution of project issues.
• Foster a collaborative and solution-oriented working environment.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare coordination reports, clash reports, issue logs, and project documentation.
• Maintain project records and coordination history.
• Assist in tracking project progress and deliverables.
• Ensure accurate documentation of coordination decisions and model updates.

Continuous Learning

• Stay updated with BIM technologies, Autodesk platforms, and digital construction methodologies.
• Participate in internal technical training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members whenever required.
• Continuously enhance technical and coordination capabilities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant BIM project experience.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks Manage.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Forma will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination, clash detection, and project delivery workflows.
• Familiarity with construction documentation, BIM standards, and digital engineering practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and project timelines.
• Experience working on large-scale projects will be an added advantage.
