Job Description
Department:
Finance & Accounts
Role Purpose
To ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual books closure, preparation of financial statements, consolidation of group accounts, compliance with accounting standards, and coordination of internal and statutory audits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Books Closure & Financial Reporting
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Ensure accurate recording of journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger accounts.
Prepare trial balance, profit & loss account, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Monitor period-end closing timelines and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines.
Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations.
2. Accounting & Compliance
Maintain books of accounts in compliance with applicable Accounting Standards/Ind AS.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, tax regulations, and internal accounting policies.
Review accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Manage fixed assets accounting, inventory accounting, and intercompany transactions.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records.
3. Consolidation of Financial Statements
Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
Support group reporting and management reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with Ind AS/IFRS consolidation requirements.
4. Audit Management
Coordinate with Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, and Tax Auditors.
Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
Address audit queries and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
Assist in implementation and monitoring of internal controls.
Ensure audit readiness and compliance throughout the year.
5. MIS & Process Improvement
Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and dashboards.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Support ERP implementation and system enhancements.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) / CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com.
5-10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, and audit.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and Companies Act provisions.
Expertise in financial statement preparation and consolidation.
Experience in statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modelling.
