As we grow across our India and UAE entities, we are looking for a Finance & Accounts Manager to build and manage the financial backbone of our business.

This is an opportunity to join an early-stage startup and help establish scalable finance processes while working directly with the founders.

About the Role

This role will own the day-to-day finance and accounting operations across SEVN's India and UAE entities.

From client invoicing and collections to supplier payments, reconciliations, management reporting and financial controls, you'll ensure every booking is financially accurate, commercially viable and operationally seamless.

You will work closely with the founders, Travel Designers, Operations team and our external accounting and compliance partners to support the smooth running of the business.

What You'll Be Responsible For Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Raise customer invoices and payment requests.
• Track customer collections and outstanding receivables.
• Follow up on overdue payments and maintain ageing reports.
• Process refunds, credit notes and booking-related financial adjustments.
• Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure customer payment milestones are achieved before supplier payment deadlines.

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process supplier invoices and payments accurately and on time.
• Manage payment schedules for hotels, DMCs, experience providers and travel partners.
• Track supplier advances, deposits and balance payments.
• Maintain vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Operations to validate supplier invoices before processing payments.

Travel Finance & Booking Reconciliation

• Own the financial lifecycle of every client booking.
• Reconcile customer payments with invoices and confirmed bookings.
• Perform daily reconciliation between CRM, booking records and accounting records.
• Build and maintain detailed trip costing and profitability sheets.
• Track supplier costs, commissions, taxes, foreign exchange and margins.
• Monitor booking profitability and proactively highlight commercial risks.

Payment Gateway & Banking

• Reconcile collections received through Razorpay and Stripe.
• Monitor settlement reports, payment failures, refunds and chargebacks.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

India & UAE Finance Operations

• Support finance operations across both India and UAE entities.
• Coordinate closely with SEVN's external accounting and compliance partners.
• Provide documentation and reconciliations required for:
• GST
• TCS
• Payroll
• UAE VAT
• Statutory filings
• Maintain records for cross-border transactions and inter-company reconciliations.

Financial Reporting & MIS

• Prepare weekly cash flow reports.
• Monitor receivables, payables and working capital.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and management dashboards.
• Assist founders with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Provide meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.

Process Improvement

• Build scalable finance processes suitable for a growing startup.
• Improve internal controls and reporting frameworks.
• Recommend automation opportunities wherever possible.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records.
• Flag financial risks, discrepancies or compliance issues proactively.

Success in This Role

You will own the financial closure of every client booking by ensuring:

• Customer payments are received on time.
• Supplier payments are processed as committed.
• Booking profitability is accurately calculated.
• All reconciliations are completed.
• Financial records are complete and audit-ready before a booking is considered financially closed.

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in travel, hospitality, tourism or another service-led business preferred.
• Experience with luxury travel companies, OTAs, DMCs or travel agencies is an advantage.
• Candidates from hospitality, luxury services, e-commerce or high-growth startups are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and financial reconciliations.
• Experience handling multi-currency transactions and international supplier payments.
• Good understanding of GST, TCS and Indian accounting regulations.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT requirements is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero or similar accounting software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Exposure to payment gateways such as Razorpay and Stripe.
• Experience working with CRM platforms is an advantage.
• Comfortable working closely with founders and cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where processes continue to evolve and responsibilities extend beyond traditional accounting functions.
