Senior Embedded Systems / Embedded Security Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Embedded Systems / Embedded Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and delivering embedded products into production.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in System-on-Chip (SoC), ARM-based platforms, firmware development, device drivers, hardware communication interfaces, OTA updates, and embedded security .

Seniority will be evaluated primarily based on successful product delivery and technical ownership , rather than years of experience alone.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot embedded software and firmware for production products.
• Work extensively with System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms and ARM-based architectures.
• Develop, integrate, and debug firmware and low-level device drivers .
• Work with embedded communication interfaces and protocols, including:USB,I2C,SPI,UART,Bluetooth
• Other wired and wireless communication technologies
• Design and support OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware/software update mechanisms .
• Apply security practices across firmware, device communication, software updates, and embedded system architecture.
• Debug complex hardware, firmware, driver, and system-integration issues.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, security, validation, and product engineering teams.
• Take technical ownership from design and development through integration, testing, and production deployment .
• Identify and resolve production-level embedded system challenges.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Embedded Systems development .
• Strong experience with SoC-based product development .
• Hands-on experience with ARM-based MCU/MPU platforms .
• Strong firmware development experience.
• Experience developing and debugging device drivers .
• Strong working knowledge of I2C, SPI, USB, UART , and similar interfaces.
• Experience with Bluetooth or other wireless communication technologies.
• Experience implementing or supporting OTA firmware/software updates .
• Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction and the complete embedded system stack.
• Strong embedded debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience delivering production-quality embedded products.

Embedded Security Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred:

• Secure boot and chain of trust
• Firmware security and hardening
• Secure OTA updates
• Firmware signing and verification
• Device authentication
• Secure communication
• Cryptography in embedded systems
• Key and credential management
• Hardware-backed security
• Interface and communication security
• Embedded threat modeling and security practices

Candidates with exceptional embedded systems fundamentals and product delivery experience may be considered even if their direct security experience is limited.
