Registered Veterinary Technician Full Time
ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic | Stockton, California
$26-$30 per hour, depending on experience
ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team full-time. We are a nonprofit, high-volume spay/neuter clinic dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and providing affordable veterinary services to our community.
Responsibilities
- Preparing patients for surgery
- Administering medications and inducing anesthesia under veterinarian supervision
- Intubating and monitoring patients throughout anesthesia
- Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
- Monitoring patients during recovery
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Preparing surgical instruments and packs
- Supporting clinic cleanliness, organization, and infection-control procedures
- Working cooperatively with veterinarians, assistants, reception staff, and volunteers
Qualifications
- Current California RVT license in good standing
- Strong anesthesia-monitoring and patient-care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Dependable, organized, compassionate, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working with cats, dogs, and community/feral cats
- Spay/neuter or surgical experience preferred, but additional training may be provided
This is a full-time position with a consistent daytime schedule. No overnight shifts. The ideal candidate believes in ACT's mission and wants to make a meaningful difference for animals and families in the Stockton community.
