Job Title: Finance Controller

Location: Coimbatore (Onsite preferred)/Hybrid

Experience: 3-5 Years

Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly driven Finance Controller to lead the finance and operational functions across our India and US entities. This role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, business operations, payroll, contract administration, and executive financial support while enabling data-driven business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Own end-to-end accounting and finance operations for India and US entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.
• Monitor financial controls and ensure accounting accuracy.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for executive leadership.
• Drive process improvements through automation and AI-powered finance tools.

Compliance & Statutory Management

• Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, MCA filings, and audits.
• Coordinate with US accountants for federal and state compliance requirements.
• Manage statutory audits, tax audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain compliance with internal financial policies and governance.

Payroll & HR Finance

• Oversee payroll processing across India and coordinate US payroll activities.
• Ensure statutory deductions, employee reimbursements, and payroll compliance.
• Partner with HR on compensation structures, benefits, and employee financial administration.

Business Operations

• Manage vendor onboarding, contracts, renewals, procurement, and payment cycles.
• Track operational expenses and optimize costs across business functions.
• Support CEO operations through financial analysis, reporting, and strategic insights.
• Establish scalable operational processes supporting company growth.

Business Planning & Strategic Finance

• Build financial models supporting business planning and expansion.
• Support annual budgeting and long-term financial planning.
• Assist in fundraising preparation through financial analysis, forecasting, and investor-ready reports.
• Monitor business performance metrics and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic business decisions.

AI-First Finance

• Leverage AI tools to automate finance workflows and reporting.
• Build AI-assisted dashboards and management reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity through AI-driven automation.
• Promote data-driven decision-making across finance and operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• CA, CMA, CPA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, and Business Operations.
• Experience managing finance across multiple legal entities, preferably India and the US.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, payroll, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting platforms such as Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Experience using AI tools to improve finance and operational processes is highly desirable.
