Import Client Success Agent (Freight Forwarding Industry)

A freight forwarding company is seeking an Entry-Level Import Client Success Agent to join their operations team in the Wood Dale, IL area. This position is responsible for supporting client relationship management and handling various client communications regarding import shipment status and general inquiries. Training is provided.*This is a full-time, non-exempt, contracted, onsite position.***This is a contract-to-hire role, with Activ8 serving as your temporary employer***

Entry-level Import Client Success Agent (Freight Forwarding) Duties:Respond to customers and transportation service providers, providing them with information of shipment statuses (ETA, errors, etc.) and financialsSupport shipment coordination operations by assisting with shipment tracking and tracingCollect, sort, distribute and file shipment documentation and operational information internallyUpdate internal databases with client communication reports, freight information and current statusCollaborate with and support other departments'/branches' freight operations as neededReport and address issues and claims with clients when shipment errors/in-transit issues occurAdditional duties as assigned
Entry-level Import Client SuccessAgent (Freight Forwarding) Ideal Minimum Requirements:Education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similarPractical knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS ExcelExcellent communication skills in written / verbal EnglishHigh attention to detail and comfortable handling tasks simultaneouslyAdaptable with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline driven departmentThis position will not support visa sponsorship or relocation expensesWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel paperwork and interact with a computer, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
