Young Edsplorer is an experiential learning and educational travel organization working with K-12 schools to create meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.

We partner with schools to design and deliver educational tours, domestic and international student travel programs, industrial visits, experiential learning programs, leadership experiences, and other school-focused learning initiatives.

We are looking for a Business Development Executive who can take ownership of school business development, lead generation, relationship building, sales presentations, client acquisition, and partnership development.

Candidates who have previously worked in educational travel, school tours, EdTech, education sales, student travel, hospitality/travel, school-focused products or services, or other B2B businesses involving regular school interaction will be strongly preferred.

This is a target-driven, relationship-oriented role that involves extensive interaction with schools and frequent travel for meetings, presentations, business development, and client engagement.

About the Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new school opportunities, developing relationships with school stakeholders, presenting Young Edsplorer's offerings, converting prospects into partnerships, and growing business across assigned markets.

The role is particularly suited to professionals who enjoy:

  • Meeting school Principals, Directors, Coordinators, Teachers, and Management.
  • Building long-term institutional relationships.
  • Generating leads and converting them into business.
  • Conducting face-to-face meetings and presentations.
  • Working in the educational travel, tourism, EdTech, or school-services ecosystem.

The person joining this role will be expected to work closely with internal Sales, Operations, Client Coordination, and Program teams to ensure that business commitments are aligned with execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities1. School Business Development
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with K-12 schools across assigned territories.
  • Build a strong pipeline of schools, institutions, and educational organizations.
  • Identify relevant decision-makers within schools, including Principals, Vice Principals, Directors, Academic Coordinators, Activity Heads, Teachers, School Owners, Trustees, and Management.
  • Establish initial contact with prospective schools through cold calling, references, networking, LinkedIn, email outreach, field visits, and existing professional networks.
2. Sales & Business Development
  • Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
  • Generate qualified leads independently and through multiple business development channels.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with school management and key decision-makers.
  • Deliver structured and compelling presentations about educational tours, experiential learning programs, student travel, industrial visits, international programs, and other relevant offerings.
3. School Relationship Management
  • Develop professional and long-term relationships with schools and their key stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with school representatives throughout the sales and relationship lifecycle.
  • Understand the school's annual activity calendar and identify potential opportunities for educational tours and experiential programs.
  • Stay connected with teachers, coordinators, and management to identify upcoming requirements.
4. Educational Travel & Program Sales

The candidate will be expected to understand and confidently present offerings such as:

  • Domestic educational tours.
  • International educational tours.
  • Student exchange programs.
  • Industrial visits.
  • Experiential learning programs.
  • Leadership and learning camps.
  • Curriculum-linked travel experiences.
  • STEM and innovation-focused programs.
  • Cultural and historical learning journeys.
  • Customized school travel programs.
5. Client Meetings & Presentations
  • Conduct in-person meetings with Principals, School Directors, Management, Coordinators, Teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Present program concepts, itineraries, educational objectives, inclusions, safety processes, and commercial proposals.
  • Conduct product and program presentations for schools.
  • Participate in school events, exhibitions, conferences, networking events, and education forums.
  • Represent Young Edsplorer professionally during all external interactions.
  • Build confidence among school stakeholders through strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
6. Lead Generation & Market Development
  • Research and identify new schools and educational institutions within assigned territories.
  • Build and maintain a structured database of prospective schools and decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular outbound calling and follow-ups.
  • Use LinkedIn, email, referrals, networking, field visits, and other relevant channels for lead generation.
  • Identify new geographical markets for school partnerships.
  • Develop a systematic approach to prospecting and pipeline creation.
  • Track lead sources, conversion rates, meeting outcomes, and sales progress.
  • Identify market trends and competitor activity relevant to educational travel and school partnerships.
7. Field Sales & Travel

This is a field-oriented business development position, and the candidate should be comfortable with extensive travel.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Visiting schools across assigned cities and regions.
  • Meeting school management and decision-makers in person.
  • Conducting presentations and sales meetings.
  • Participating in school events and educational conferences.
  • Developing relationships with schools in new markets.
  • Representing the organization during business development activities.
  • Travelling independently for client meetings and market expansion.

Candidates who are uncomfortable with frequent travel or field-based sales should not apply.

8. Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
  • Maintain accurate records of all leads, prospects, meetings, proposals, follow-ups, and closures.
  • Update CRM and sales reports regularly.
  • Track every opportunity from initial contact through closure.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and expected closure timelines.
  • Track individual targets, achievements, conversion ratios, and pipeline health.
9. Coordination with Internal Teams
  • Work closely with Operations and Program teams once a school opportunity progresses toward closure.
  • Communicate client requirements accurately to the relevant internal teams.
  • Ensure that commitments made during the sales process are clearly documented and communicated.
Mandatory Experience

Candidates should have relevant experience in at least one or more of the following:

  • B2B Business Development.
  • Institutional Sales.
  • School Sales.
  • Educational Travel Sales.
  • EdTech Sales.
  • School Partnership Development.
  • Travel & Tourism Sales involving schools or institutions.
  • Selling educational products or services to schools.
  • Client acquisition involving school management.
  • Field sales with regular school visits.
  • Relationship management with educational institutions.

Candidates who have worked in completely unrelated B2B sales environments without institutional or school exposure may not be suitable for this position.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 1–4 years of relevant experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, School Sales, EdTech, Educational Travel, Tourism, or related fields.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working from the Noida office.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for business development.
  • Comfortable working in a target-oriented environment.
