Job Description
Position: Assistant Professor – Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT)
Institute: Apollo Institute of Hospital Management and Allied Sciences (AIHMAS)
Role Summary:
Deliver theoretical and practical instruction in Nuclear Medicine Technology, supervise student clinical/lab training, and support curriculum development within the Allied Health Sciences department.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate NMT courses (radiopharmacy, radiation safety, imaging techniques, nuclear instrumentation, etc.)
Supervise practical/lab sessions and student clinical postings in nuclear medicine departments
Assist in curriculum development in line with regulatory (NCAHP/State Council, AERB) and accreditation standards
Mentor students; support academic and research projects
Assist in assessments, exam evaluation, and academic audits
Support institutional accreditation (NAAC/NABH-linked) documentation as needed
Participate in faculty development and continuing education activities
Qualifications:
M. Sc. in Nuclear Medicine Technology (or equivalent); Ph. D. preferred
Minimum 3–5 years of teaching/clinical experience (as per regulatory norms for Assistant Professor level)
AERB certification/RSO eligibility preferred
Prior academic teaching experience in an allied health sciences program preferred
