Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for an Upholstery Expert Supervisor. The supervisor oversees daily upholstery operations, including planning workloads, assigning tasks to team members, and monitoring progress to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Responsibilities include supervising upholstery staff, providing technical guidance on materials and techniques, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety procedures. The role involves inspecting finished products, resolving production issues, coordinating with design and production managers, and maintaining inventory of upholstery materials and tools. The supervisor also supports training new team members, implementing process improvements, and maintaining clear documentation and reports on productivity and quality.

Qualifications
- Strong expertise in upholstery techniques, materials, tools, and finishing methods, with hands-on experience in a production or workshop environment.
- Proven supervisory or team lead experience, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and coaching craftspersons or technicians.
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications, technical drawings, and work orders, ensuring accurate execution of client requirements.
- Knowledge of quality control practices, inspection methods, and standards related to upholstery workmanship and durability.
- Familiarity with workplace safety procedures, ergonomic practices, and safe handling of upholstery equipment and materials.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams such as design, production, and procurement.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in upholstery, furniture manufacturing, or related fields; a diploma or degree in a technical or design discipline is an advantage.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or automotive upholstery projects is beneficial, especially in a high-volume or custom-production setting.
