Diagnex is hiring experienced Dialysis Technologists / JDTs for its Nephrology and Dialysis operations in Kolkata, West Bengal, and Bokaro, Jharkhand . This is a hands-on clinical role for professionals who have formal training in dialysis technology and at least 2 years of practical experience working in a dialysis centre, hospital, or established nephrology facility .

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and protocol-driven hemodialysis sessions. The role includes preparing dialysis machines, dialysers, bloodlines, and associated equipment before each session, conducting pre-treatment machine checks, assisting with patient preparation, monitoring patients throughout dialysis, recording vital parameters and treatment information, and completing post-dialysis procedures and documentation.

The Dialysis Technologist / JDT will be expected to closely observe patients during treatment and promptly identify and escalate any abnormal responses, complications, or clinical concerns to the nephrologist, nursing team, or appropriate clinical personnel. The candidate should also be comfortable supporting vascular-access related procedures within the permitted scope of the role and according to institutional protocols.

A major part of the responsibility involves maintaining strict infection-control, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilisation standards within the dialysis unit. The candidate will be responsible for appropriate machine disinfection between patients, maintaining treatment and machine logs, monitoring consumable availability, reporting technical abnormalities, and ensuring that equipment and materials required for scheduled dialysis sessions are properly prepared.

The role requires close coordination with nephrologists, nurses, and other members of the clinical team regarding patient treatment requirements and operational needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in an active dialysis environment where adherence to clinical protocols, accurate documentation, punctuality, patient safety, and timely escalation are critical.

Applicants must possess a recognised qualification in Dialysis Technology, Dialysis Technician training, or an equivalent paramedical qualification specifically related to dialysis . A minimum of 2 years of hands-on dialysis experience is mandatory . Freshers and candidates without direct dialysis experience should not apply. General nursing, laboratory, OT, or unrelated paramedical experience will not be considered a substitute for practical dialysis experience.

Candidates with strong exposure to hemodialysis machine preparation and operation, dialyser and bloodline handling, patient monitoring, vascular-access monitoring, dialysis documentation, machine disinfection, infection-control procedures, management of dialysis-related complications, and multidisciplinary nephrology care will be preferred. Familiarity with established dialysis machine systems and structured dialysis protocols will be an added advantage.

We are looking for professionals who are clinically disciplined, dependable, attentive to detail, and comfortable taking responsibility within a dialysis unit . The ideal candidate should remain calm while dealing with patients, communicate professionally with patients and their families, follow clinical instructions precisely, and understand when immediate escalation to the medical team is required.
