Senior Tooling Engineer (Phoenix)

Serve as a technical leader responsible for the performance, reliability, and availability of production tooling. Manage tooling spare parts and lead troubleshooting and resolution of tooling-related production issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support stable manufacturing operations. Mentor Tooling Engineers and Mold Makers and provide technical guidance to team members and leadership. Maintain tooling documentation, standards, and repair guidelines. Support tooling repairs, refurbishments, component replacements, and the validation and ramp-up of new or refurbished molds. Drive continuous improvement focused on tooling reliability, uptime, and quality. Oversee tooling lifecycle health, including wear tracking, refurbishment planning, and end-of-life decisions. Participate in new product development design reviews to help prevent mold design and functional issues. Work with commercial teams and customers on tooling evaluations and major-repair financials. Travel up to 10%, or up to 26 business days per year. Work within an ISO 7 cleanroom and complete required gowning procedures. *Most Important Skills Needed: Tooling leadership, reliability, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
