Now Hiring: Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic | F/A-18 Depot-Level Repair | Kiln, MS We're hiring an experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic for a permanent, direct-hire position supporting F/A-18 depot-level repair at Stennis Space Center in Kiln, Mississippi. F-18 experience is preferred. If you've done structural repair on other fighter or military airframes, we want to hear from you. What you'll do Disassemble, repair, modify, and reassemble aircraft structures including bulkheads, spars, wings, flaps, pylons, fuselage sections, skins, ribs, and fuel tanks Evaluate structural damage and develop patterns for fabrication Work with aluminum, stainless steel, magnesium, copper, and honeycomb Rivet, bolt, drill, and fasten to critical tolerances and strength standards Use precision measuring tools including calipers, protractors, dial gauges, and sine bars What we're looking for 4+ years of aircraft sheet metal or structures experience (Aircraft Mechanic II level) Military fixed-wing or heavy structures background preferred (Navy AM, USMC structures, or civilian equivalent) Active Secret clearance, or eligibility to obtain one U.S. citizenship High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a hands-on skills certification exam A pre-employment and post-offer testing required Separating from the military or looking for your next step in aviation structures?
