QA/QC Engineer - Rotating Equipment

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer - Rotating Equipment to join our team in Basra, Iraq.

The QA/QC Engineer (Rotating Equipment) will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met during the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and testing of rotating equipment in our Basra workshop. The role also supports compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and HSE policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain QA/QC systems, procedures, and inspection processes.
• Inspect rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors during repair and testing.
• Verify workshop activities comply with approved procedures and standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and customer documentation.
• Coordinate with workshop and operations teams on quality activities.
• Monitor calibration of related inspection equipment.
• Review and monitor NDT activities and reports.
• Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct internal quality audits and support continuous improvement.
• Promote compliance with all HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6-10 years of QA/QC experience in rotating equipment within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and gearboxes.
• Understanding of API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, and related industry standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing quality documentation and reports.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• QMS Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• NDT certifications are advantageous
