Geotechnical Engineer Manager

Geotechnical Engineering Manager | California A well-established geotechnical and materials testing firm is looking for a Geotechnical Engineering Manager to lead its engineering operations and help grow the business into new sectors. What you ll do: Lead a team of engineers plus field and lab technicians, overseeing day-to-day operations Own the P L: budgets, staffing, utilization, invoicing and profitability Direct subsurface investigations, seismic/liquefaction evaluations, slope analysis and design recommendations Act as geotechnical engineer of record on DSA (schools) and HCAI (hospitals) projects Set and enforce QA/QC standards in the lab and field Drive business development into infrastructure, healthcare, education and commercial work Mentor junior staff and build strong relationships with clients, agencies, architects and contractors What you ll bring: BS in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering GE license 5+ years of geotechnical or geological experience Strong grounding in soil and rock mechanics and commercial geotechnical software Clear, defensible report writing and confident client communication Interested or know someone who might be?
