Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accelerator and Fundraise Head at Innovation Mission Punjab located in Mohali, Punjab, India. The incumbent will be responsible for management, operations and execution of all startup engagement activities from the pre-program stage, through the program, and the post-program stage by monitoring, controlling and reporting progress. As the main point of contact for program operations, s/he will play a key role in contributing to the success of all participating startups.

The Roles and Responsibilities Include :

The Accelerator Head will be completely responsible for leading the acceleration programs. This would be inclusive of the following: 

• Accelerator Strategy: Overall planning the activities, resources and programs of the Accelerator. Develop the business plan for the Accelerator to make it financially sustainable in the long run 
• Fundraise: Explore all the avenues of funding the accelerator programs like govt schemes, corporate partnerships, etc.
• Events and workshops: Execute various workshops/events to support cohort companies as part of the program 
• Partnerships: Forge partnerships with various ecosystem players including incubators, accelerators, investors, corporates, academic institutions, sponsors and others for collaboration
• Funding: Support the portfolio management team in providing offline support to the cohort companies. Investor outreach and connection for the cohort startups

Eligibility for the Role: 

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. A Master's Degree in Business Administration/Engineering or other relevant fields is desirable

• Overall work experience of 12-15 years including 8-10 years relevant experience in a business incubator/accelerator, a start-up advisory or any kind of entrepreneurial experience would be preferred

• Well versed in executing accelerator programs

• Ability to work well with a team and lead a lean team

• Full professional proficiency in English

• An ability to think creatively to solve problems and to work without being closely managed

• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented

• Ability to speak confidently in settings ranging from large group events to meetings with senior government, industry, and startup leaders

• Enough technical know-how to understand and work with everything from tomorrow’s cybersecurity tools to artificial intelligence innovators to small-sat companies to brick-mortar businesses without skipping a beat

Annual Compensation: 24 L
