Job Description - IT Executive


Capital Fortunes is a boutique Investment Banking firm specializing in Debt Syndication, Private Credit, Private Equity, Project Finance, Structured Finance, and M&A across private and public sectors. We are looking for a practical and dependable IT Executive to handle the day-to-day IT requirements of the office. The role is suited to someone who can execute tasks efficiently and on time, resolve routine issues independently, use modern productivity tools including AI responsibly, coordinate with vendors when required, and keep the concerned team informed until closure.



Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day IT Support

• Provide first-level support for laptops, desktops, printers, Wi-Fi, email, Microsoft Office and other office

applications.

• Install and configure systems, software, printers and user accounts for employees.

• Troubleshoot routine hardware, software and connectivity issues and ensure issues are followed through to closure.

• Provide IT support for meetings, video calls, projectors and presentations.


2. Microsoft 365 & User Administration

• Support Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Office and other Microsoft 365 applications.

• Create, modify or deactivate user accounts and access based on approved instructions.

• Assist with basic permissions, password resets, email and access-related issues.

• Coordinate with the Microsoft/IT support vendor for issues that need specialist intervention.


3. Hardware, Assets & Vendor Coordination

• Maintain an updated record of laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, network devices and other IT assets.

• Coordinate purchase, repair, replacement and maintenance of IT equipment with approved vendors.

• Follow up with vendors until the assigned work is completed and verify that the issue has been resolved.

• Track basic warranty, AMC, software licence and subscription renewal dates.


4. Network & Data Security

• Carry out basic checks of internet, LAN/Wi-Fi, firewall, antivirus and office network connectivity.

• Ensure antivirus/endpoint protection and routine software updates are functioning on company systems.

• Assist with periodic backups and basic checks that company data is stored in approved locations.

• Promptly report suspicious emails, malware, unauthorised access, data-loss incidents or recurring technical problems.


5. AI, Digital & Administrative IT Support

• Have working familiarity with approved AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or equivalent, and use them appropriately for research, troubleshooting and other tasks

• Assist employees with basic access, setup and usage of approved AI tools and help identify simple productivity use cases.

• Check AI-generated answers before acting on them, and escalate technical or security-sensitive matters where required.

• Follow company confidentiality and data-handling rules when using AI; confidential, client or restricted

information must not be entered into unapproved AI tools.

• Coordinate domain, website, hosting and email administration/renewals with vendors, and provide technical assistance for various relevant online portals

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete them within the agreed timeline.

• Follow up proactively instead of waiting for repeated reminders.

• Communicate clearly if an issue cannot be resolved or if external support is required.

• Maintain simple and accurate records of IT assets, licenses, subscriptions and pending issues.

• Handle company information, passwords, user access and AI tools responsibly and confidentially.

• Be helpful and professional while supporting employees with day-to-day IT problems.


Skills & Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in IT support , desktop support, system support or a similar role.

• BE/BTech in Computer Science/IT, BSc Computer Science, MSc Computer Science, BCA/MCA or equivalent.

• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, basic networking and common office

hardware.

• Ability to install software, configure devices and troubleshoot routine user issues.

• Comfortable using AI assistants for everyday IT and productivity tasks, with good judgement on confidentiality and accuracy.

• Good communication, follow-up and documentation skills.

• Exposure to Power Automate and Relevant Microsoft/AI Certifications are an added advantage
