Oracle JDE Finance Functional Consultant

We are looking for an experienced JD Edwards Financial Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Finance modules. The consultant will support implementation, enhancement, rollout, upgrade and production-support engagements while working closely with finance stakeholders, technical teams and integration partners.

Required Experience

• 6–10 years of overall Oracle JD Edwards experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 .
• At least one or two end-to-end implementation or rollout engagements.
• Experience working in implementation and production-support environments.
• Prior consulting or Deloitte/Big Four experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of JDE batch processing, versions and processing options.
• Ability to troubleshoot finance transactions, postings, batch errors and data-integrity issues.
• Experience gathering requirements and preparing functional design documents.
• Strong experience with CRP, SIT, UAT, cutover, data migration and go-live support.
• Ability to coordinate with development teams for reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional workshops with finance and business stakeholders.
• Analyse current-state financial processes and identify gaps.
• Design and configure JDE EnterpriseOne Finance solutions.
• Prepare fit-gap assessments, process flows and functional specifications.
• Configure and support GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Cash Management.
• Design Automatic Accounting Instructions and finance-related system setups.
• Troubleshoot posting, payment, receipt, reconciliation and period-close issues.
• Support data conversion, validation and reconciliation activities.
• Prepare test scenarios, test scripts and expected results.
• Conduct functional testing and support SIT and UAT.
• Coordinate defect resolution with technical, integration and business teams.
• Support cutover planning, deployment, hypercare and production stabilisation.
• Prepare user manuals, configuration documents, SOPs and training materials.
• Provide knowledge transfer and end-user training.
• Manage incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.

Technical and Integration Exposure

• Basic understanding of JDE tables and data structures.
• Experience working with JDE reports and Universal Batch Engines.
• Understanding of Business Functions, Business Views and processing options.
• Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Orchestrator, Business Services, APIs and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of finance integrations with Procurement, Sales Order Management, Inventory, Manufacturing and Payroll.
• Experience working with Vertex, Avalara, banking systems or payment platforms is advantageous.
