Our services include investor presentations, investor meetings, conference calls, factory and office visits, video-based corporate storytelling, market perception reports, investor query management, financial content, PR communication and AI-enabled investor assistance.
Stock Knocks works closely with company promoters and senior management to help them communicate their business, performance, strategy and growth story more effectively to investors.
Role OverviewWe are looking for a result-oriented Business Development Manager – Investor Relations Services who will identify prospective companies, meet their promoters and senior management, present Stock Knocks’ IR offerings and onboard them as clients.
The role requires a combination of field sales, relationship building, understanding of capital markets and the ability to communicate the value of professional Investor Relations services.
The selected candidate will represent Stock Knocks in meetings with promoters, directors, CFOs, company secretaries and other key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and approach listed companies, SME-listed companies, IPO-bound companies and other suitable corporate prospects.
- Arrange and conduct meetings with promoters, directors, CFOs, company secretaries and senior management.
- Understand each company’s business, investor communication gaps, market perception and IR requirements.
- Present Stock Knocks’ Investor Relations, PR, content, video and investor engagement services.
- Explain how Stock Knocks can help companies improve investor visibility, market communication and engagement with existing and prospective investors.
- Develop customised proposals and commercial offerings based on the company’s requirements.
- Follow up with prospective clients and convert discussions into signed mandates.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate prospects.
- Maintain regular communication with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
- Coordinate with the research, content, presentation, video and IR execution teams during client onboarding.
- Ensure that commitments made during the sales process are properly communicated to the execution team.
- Develop long-term relationships with promoters and company management after onboarding.
- Attend industry events, investor conferences, corporate gatherings and networking programmes to generate business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, proposals, follow-ups and conversion status.
- Provide regular reports on leads generated, meetings conducted, proposals submitted and clients onboarded.
- Support the management in developing sector-wise and geography-wise business development strategies.
- Gather market feedback regarding client requirements, competitor offerings and emerging opportunities in Investor Relations services.

- Willingness to travel for client meetings.
- Ability to independently manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to mandate closure.
- Professional appearance and confidence in representing Stock Knocks before senior management.
- Ability to prepare meeting notes, proposals and follow-up communication.
- Good command of English and Hindi. Knowledge of Bengali will be an advantage.
- MBA or PGDM in Marketing, Finance or a related discipline.
- Candidates with qualifications or exposure in CFA, CS, CA, capital markets or financial services will be preferred.
- Experience in B2B sales, financial services, Investor Relations, wealth management, merchant banking, investment banking, credit rating, broking, corporate advisory, financial media or professional services will be an advantage.
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, financial services or corporate business development.
- Existing relationships with listed companies, SME promoters, merchant bankers, company secretaries, CFOs or capital-market intermediaries will be highly valued.
- Candidates with a proven ability to generate meetings and close corporate mandates will be preferred.
Exceptional candidates with lower experience but strong communication skills, financial understanding and corporate networks may also be considered.

The candidate will sell and represent Investor Relations, corporate communication and investor engagement services only.
The role does not involve giving stock recommendations, promising share-price appreciation, providing trading calls, influencing market prices or making any assurance regarding investment returns.
All communication with prospective clients must remain professional, factual and compliant with applicable capital-market regulations.

Candidates based in Kolkata or willing to relocate to Kolkata will be preferred. The role will involve travel for meetings with companies in different cities.
