Through our AI-powered placement ecosystem, we help institutions streamline placement operations, improve student employability, manage employer relationships, and create better career opportunities for students. We are looking for a proactive and relationship-driven Placement Officer – North Region who will work closely with our partner institutions, students, placement teams, and corporate partners to strengthen placement outcomes across North India. Role Overview The Placement Officer will be responsible for managing and supporting placement activities for CNEAR's partner colleges and universities across the North Region. The role involves building relationships with companies, identifying employment opportunities, coordinating placement drives, supporting university placement teams, and ensuring students receive relevant opportunities based on their profiles. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of campus placements, corporate relations, student engagement, and recruitment processes. Key Responsibilities1. Corporate Relations & Job Opportunities Identify and connect with companies actively hiring fresh graduates. Build and maintain relationships with HR teams, recruiters, talent acquisition professionals, and business leaders. Source internship, full-time, apprenticeship, and other career opportunities for students. Understand company hiring requirements and match suitable student profiles. Encourage companies to participate in campus and pooled placement drives. Develop a strong network of employers across industries. 2. Placement Drive Management Coordinate end-to-end placement drives with companies and university placement teams. Manage job announcements, student applications, shortlisting, interview schedules, assessments, and final selections. Coordinate online as well as offline recruitment drives. Ensure timely communication between companies, institutions, and students. Follow up with recruiters regarding interview results and offers. Maintain accurate placement and hiring records. 3. University & College Coordination Work closely with Placement Directors, TPOs, Placement Coordinators, HODs, and university management. Understand the placement requirements and student profiles of assigned institutions. Support institutions in improving their placement processes. Conduct regular discussions with university placement teams regarding opportunities, student participation, and placement performance. Act as a primary point of contact between CNEAR and assigned institutions. 4. Student Engagement Help students understand available job and internship opportunities. Encourage eligible students to actively participate in placement drives. Coordinate student communication related to applications, interviews, assessments, and hiring processes. Collect feedback from students regarding placement opportunities and recruitment processes. Identify challenges affecting student participation and work with institutional teams to resolve them. 5. Employer Acquisition Research potential employers across North India and other relevant markets. Conduct outreach through LinkedIn, email, calls, networking events, and referrals. Present CNEAR's university network and available student talent pool to employers. Convert prospective employers into active hiring partners. Maintain a structured pipeline of potential and active recruiters. 6. Placement Performance & Reporting Track key placement metrics including: Number of companies onboarded Number of job opportunities generated Student applications Shortlisted students Interviews conducted Offers generated Students hired Average and highest CTC Company conversion rate Prepare periodic placement reports for internal teams and institutional partners. Maintain recruiter and placement data accurately on CNEAR's platform. Regional Coverage The Placement Officer may be responsible for institutions and employer relationships across major North Indian markets including: Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and surrounding regions. The role will require regular travel depending on institutional and placement requirements. Required Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent corporate relationship-building ability. Strong negotiation and follow-up skills. Understanding of campus placements and recruitment processes. Ability to communicate confidently with HR professionals and senior university officials. Strong networking and business development skills. Ability to manage multiple placement drives simultaneously. Comfortable working with recruitment platforms, CRM systems, Excel/Google Sheets, LinkedIn, and other digital tools. Strong problem-solving and coordination skills. Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region. Preferred Experience 2–5 years of experience in campus placements, corporate relations, university relations, recruitment, staffing, business development, or talent acquisition. Previous experience working as a Placement Officer, Training & Placement Officer, Corporate Relations Executive/Manager, Recruiter, University Relations Executive, or Business Development Executive will be preferred. Existing relationships with HR professionals and recruiters will be an advantage. Experience working with universities, colleges, EdTech companies, recruitment firms, or placement organizations will be preferred. Educational Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA candidates with experience in HR, Marketing, Corporate Relations, or Business Development will be preferred. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance for this role will primarily be evaluated based on: New employer relationships developed Active hiring companies onboarded Jobs and internships generated Number of placement drives conducted Student interview opportunities generated Offers and final placements achieved Recruiter retention and repeat hiring University satisfaction Placement conversion rate Quality and relevance of opportunities generated Who Should Apply?
