Estimator - HYBRID WORKING

Salary: Dependent upon qualifications and previous experienceBlakedown Landscapes is an award-winning landscaping and civil engineering specialist delivering high quality projects throughout the UK. Our portfolio spans all sectors from local authorities, royal parks, commercial developers, schools and universities to high-end luxury developers. Much of our work is as a result of long-term relationships based on trust and expert workmanship built up over more than five decades.Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting an Estimator to work without a growing team. The position can be hybrid with a mix of working from home and our Head Office in Chobham, Surrey. The position will involve working with the Commercial Director preparing and submitting Tender Packages from £100k up to £5million. The projects involve Blakedown working as the Main Contractor on a mixture of high quality hard and soft landscaping schemes.We are looking for someone with previous experience in an estimating role who has the ability to work in a methodical manner, often under time restraints, whilst maintaining highly accurate attention to detail is key.The Role:Measuring PDF drawings and producing tender documents.Helping the full Bid SubmissionPricing bill of quantities, generally in excel formatIdentifying areas of risk during the tender process and liasing with the company DirectorsAttending meetings and site visitsCommunicating with the client and design team during the tender process and pre-start meetingsWhat We Are Looking For:Estimating experience within the landscape/construction industryExcellent attention to detail and accuracyTeam player with a positive attitude towards new and existing challengesClear and concise communication qualities including excellent verbal and written communicationAbility to build strong relationships with all stakeholdersAble to multi task, prioritise, manage time effectively, use own initiativeIn Return We Offer:Company carMembership to the employer's pension scheme #J-18808-Ljbffr
