Senior Accountant

A great UHY Client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of accounting experience and manufacturing experience.

The Senior Accountant position is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Oversee inventory accounting and cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment.Review and analyze inventory balances, product costs, variances, and related financial data.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements.Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and support accounting cleanup as needed.Provide financial guidance to leadership and communicate key accounting and operational findings.Support audit activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.Work closely with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial information and effective accounting processes.
Senior Accountant Requirements:10+ years of progressive accounting experience.Manufacturing experience is required.Cannabis manufacturing experience is highly preferred.Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.Hands-on experience analyzing inventory, product costs, and manufacturing variances.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and quickly assess and address accounting needs in an interim environment.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
