Sales Manager

Game Wagon · India

FULL TIME

Job Description

Game Wagon is looking for a highly driven Sales Manager to take complete ownership of sales performance across our branches in Kochi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Trivandrum.

This is a hands-on growth role for someone who can do more than supervise a sales team. The successful candidate will be expected to build a strong sales system, improve lead conversion, set clear targets, create accountability across branches and drive significant, measurable revenue growth.

The role will cover both B2C sales, including console rentals and packages, and B2B opportunities such as corporate gaming events, partnerships and bulk bookings.

ABOUT GAME WAGON

Game Wagon is a fast-growing gaming rental and entertainment company serving more than 10,000 customers across multiple cities. We provide PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, gaming accessories and related experiences for individuals, groups and corporate clients.

As we expand into new markets, we are looking for a strong sales leader who can build a scalable sales operation across the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Growth and Strategy

• Take complete ownership of sales targets and revenue growth across all Game Wagon branches.

• Create and execute city-wise and branch-wise sales plans.

• Identify gaps in pricing, packages, promotions, customer follow-ups and lead conversion.

• Develop strategies to increase daily rentals, longer-duration bookings, repeat customers, upselling and cross-selling.

• Build new revenue channels through corporate sales, partnerships, events, communities, colleges, apartments and local businesses.

Sales Systems and Processes

• Build a structured sales process covering lead allocation, response times, follow-ups, quotation, conversion, payment and post-sale engagement.

• Create sales SOPs, scripts, follow-up templates and closing frameworks for every branch.

• Implement a clear CRM pipeline so every lead is tracked from enquiry to conversion.

• Establish daily, weekly and monthly reporting systems.

• Improve coordination between sales, branch operations, marketing, delivery and customer support.

• Recommend and implement automation wherever it can improve response time, conversion or customer retention.

Branch and Team Management

• Set clear sales targets for every branch and team member.

• Conduct regular sales reviews and hold teams accountable for performance.

• Train branch teams in customer communication, follow-ups, objection handling, upselling and closing.

• Monitor call quality, WhatsApp conversations, lead response times and follow-up discipline.

• Identify underperformance quickly and create practical improvement plans.

• Help recruit, train and structure the sales team as the company expands.

Data and Performance Management

• Track enquiries, conversion rates, average order value, revenue by branch, repeat bookings and customer acquisition performance.

• Create accurate sales forecasts and performance dashboards for management.

• Use data to identify the best-performing packages, locations, campaigns and customer segments.

• Work closely with the marketing team to improve lead quality and campaign conversion.

• Ensure marketing leads are contacted quickly, followed up consistently and converted effectively.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within the first 90 days, the Sales Manager should have:

• Audited the complete sales journey across every branch.

• Introduced clear targets, reporting and accountability.

• Standardised lead handling and follow-up processes.

• Improved visibility of the complete sales pipeline.

• Identified immediate opportunities to increase conversions and average booking value.

• Created a practical branch-wise growth plan.

Over the longer term, success will be measured through:

• Strong and consistent revenue growth across all branches.

• Higher enquiry-to-booking conversion rates.

• Increased repeat bookings and longer-duration rentals.

• Growth in corporate bookings and strategic partnerships.

• Better sales forecasting and team productivity.

• A scalable sales system that can support new branches.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, including team or multi-location sales management.

• Proven record of meeting and exceeding ambitious revenue targets.

• Experience building sales processes, reporting structures and CRM workflows.

• Strong understanding of lead conversion, follow-ups, negotiation and closing.

• Ability to analyse numbers and turn insights into clear actions.

• Comfortable managing different teams and maintaining accountability across locations.

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel regularly between Game Wagon branches.

• Highly proactive, commercially sharp and focused on execution.

Experience in consumer services, rentals, hospitality, retail, events, entertainment, subscription businesses or other high-volume customer-facing industries will be an advantage.

This role may not be suitable for someone who has only handled reporting or administrative sales coordination. We are looking for a leader who is comfortable being on the ground, speaking to customers, reviewing conversations, training teams, fixing weak processes and taking direct responsibility for results.

WHY JOIN GAME WAGON?

• Take ownership of sales across a growing multi-city company.

• Build the company’s sales function and systems from the ground up.

• Work directly with the leadership team.

• Play a major role in expansion into new cities and business verticals.

• Competitive salary with strong performance-linked incentives.

• Clear growth opportunities based on measurable results.
