Technical SEO Developer

We’re looking for a Technical SEO Developer to join our Dev team and become the go-to technical SEO resource across the business. Our award-winning culture has earned us Great Place to Work certification and a place on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 list .A Bit About YouWhat You’ll Be DoingOmni-Channel Setup & TrackingConfigure and manage tracking across SEO, PPC, Social, and Email in a platform-agnostic wayImplement and audit GA4, Google Tag Manager, and third-party tag setupsEnsure accurate attribution and conversion tracking across all active campaignsDefine and document tagging standards for onboarding and ongoing workSEO Technical SupportProvide hands-on technical SEO support across the team and directly on client accountsDiagnose and resolve crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data, and Core Web Vitals issuesRun regular technical audits with clear, actionable recommendations for developers and clientsStay on top of Google algorithm updates and technical search guidelinesSEO Website QCOwn Outrank’s Technical SEO quality control process for new and existing client sitesReview site builds and migrations pre- and post-launchBuild and maintain QC checklists aligned to current SEO and tracking standardsWork with the dev team to catch issues before they hit client performanceAutomated Reporting SupportSupport the build and maintenance of automated client reporting dashboards (Looker Studio, Google Sheets integrations)Ensure data pipelines from tracking platforms feed correctly into reportingSpot opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, speed, and clarity for clientsProvide first-line support and issue triage for website queriesDelivery OnboardingLead technical onboarding for new clients, setting tracking baselines and audit findings from day oneProduce clear onboarding documentation for handover to account managersEnsure new accounts are correctly set up across analytics, search console, and third-party toolsYour Day To DayWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience in a technical SEO role, ideally within a digital agencyStrong working knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag ManagerExperience implementing and auditing tracking across multiple channels (SEO, PPC, Social, Email)Proficiency with technical SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similarAbility to interpret crawl data, log files, and analytics to diagnose technical issuesExcellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholdersExperience with Shopify platform SEO and trackingFamiliarity with Looker Studio or similar reporting/visualisation toolsExperience with site migration projectsRequirementsRight to work in the United KingdomWillingness to work primarily from our Middlesbrough officeComfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environmentCompany BenefitsApart from the standard things like a competitive salary and contribution-matched pension, we at Outrank are proud to offer a few other sweeteners to help convince you to join us.
