When there are fewer surprises, fewer things to learn and fewer new challenges, it is worth asking what you are still gaining by staying.

I am working with a public accounting firm in Northeast Ohio looking for an Audit Manager.

They have recently taken on investment and are planning for growth, both organically and through acquisitions.

Importantly, that investment is going into the things you will notice. Better technology, more investment in people, stronger infrastructure and improvements to how the work gets done.

The assurance practice is evolving too, with more emphasis on advisory led client service and modernization.

If your current role feels comfortable, that is not necessarily a bad thing. But there is a difference between being comfortable and still developing.
