Studio KalaKriya is a Bangalore-based luxury interior design studio creating bespoke residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces that are timeless, functional, and deeply personal.

We are looking for a creative and motivated Interior Design Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience across all stages of interior design projects.

Role Description

As an Interior Designer, you will support our design team with concept development, space planning, design presentations, material selection, 3D visualization, technical drawings, vendor coordination, and site execution.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong design sense, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in luxury and bespoke interiors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with design concepts, mood boards, presentations, and material palettes

• Support space planning and furniture layout development

• Create 2D drawings, technical drawings, and basic working drawings

• Assist with 3D modelling and visualizations

• Research materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and design trends

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers when required

• Visit project sites and assist with measurements, documentation, and execution

• Help maintain project files, samples, drawings, and design documentation

• Support the team with client presentations and project updates

• Ensure designs follow the studio’s quality and aesthetic standards

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture, or a related field

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture(Mandatory)

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Canva, or similar design tools

• Knowledge of 3D rendering software is an added advantage

• Strong visual sense and understanding of colour, materials, proportion, and space

• Good communication, organisation, and presentation skills

• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work collaboratively

• Ability to visit project sites within Bangalore

• A portfolio showcasing academic, personal, or professional design work
