Senior Associate – Market Research About Wisemonk Wisemonk helps global companies hire, pay, and manage talent in India. Wisemonk is rated 4.8/5 on G2. About the Role Wisemonk publishes original research on salary and hiring benchmarks, benefits, offshoring economics, global employment, and related market trends. We are looking for a Senior Associate – Market Research to own this research end to end from identifying the right questions and designing surveys to analyzing data and publishing reports. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong research and analytical skills with excellent writing, sound judgment, and obsessive attention to detail. What You Will Own The research calendar: Decide which reports we publish, when we publish them, and why they matter. Survey design and fielding: Own questionnaire design, sampling, distribution, response quality, and achieving defensible sample sizes. The data: Clean, validate, analyze, cross-tabulate, and segment research data. The output: Own the report narrative, charts, key statistics, and headline findings. Accuracy: Ensure every number, chart, claim, and conclusion is correct before publication. You will be the last line of defense on research quality. What You Will Do Plan Research Identify market questions where opinions exist but reliable data is missing. Turn those gaps into clear research questions and valuable research projects. Define the audience, sample target, timeline, methodology, and intended outputs for each study. Track competitor and industry research to ensure Wisemonk publishes original and differentiated insights. Run Surveys Write clear survey questionnaires that avoid leading questions, bias, ambiguity, and unnecessary drop-off. Build and publish forms, manage distribution across email, partners, communities, and outreach Monitor response rates and data quality during fielding. Identify and fix issues before the survey closes, especially when response rates are below target. Document sampling decisions, response quality, and fieldwork limitations. Analyze Data Clean, organize, and validate raw response data. Define and document rules for handling incomplete responses, duplicates, outliers, and inconsistent answers. Use Excel or Google Sheets for pivot tables, lookups, cross-tabs, and data analysis. Conduct segmentation by factors such as company size, function, geography, seniority, and industry. Distinguish meaningful patterns from noise and avoid overstating findings. Pressure-test every finding before it appears in a report or presentation. Publish Research Write clear, confident research narratives for a US and UK business audience. Translate data into practical insights without overstating what the evidence shows. Build readable, accurate, and honest charts and data visualizations. Maintain a reusable statistics and insights library that the wider team can cite accurately. Support the Business Translate research findings into inputs for sales, product positioning, marketing, and pricing discussions. Provide relevant data points for customer conversations, outreach, PR, and media opportunities. Help teams understand what the data means and how it can be applied. What We Are Looking For Must Have 2–4 years of experience in market research, insights, consulting, data analysis, strategy, or a research-heavy content role. Hands-on survey experience, including writing questions, fielding studies, managing distribution, and dealing with low response rates. Strong analytical skills in Excel or Google Sheets. Pivot tables, lookups, and cross-tabulation should be familiar. Obsessive attention to detail. You notice a mislabeled axis, a changing sample size, a duplicate response, or a percentage that does not add up. Ability to assess data quality and identify whether a result is a genuine signal or simply noise. Excellent written English and the ability to write for a US and UK business audience. Genuine curiosity about markets, industries, business models, and how companies make decisions. Ability to work remotely with high autonomy, ownership, and limited supervision. Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple research projects or deadlines. Nice to Have Experience in HR tech, staffing, global employment, payroll, recruitment, or B2B SaaS. Experience using Tally, Typeform, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or similar survey tools. Experience with panel-based, community-based, or partner-led respondent recruitment. Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools. Data-visualization skills beyond default chart styles. Experience publishing reports, studies, whitepapers, or data journalism under your name. Familiarity with SEO, content distribution, PR, or digital publishing. Understanding of basic statistical concepts such as sample quality, bias, significance, confidence intervals, and limitations.
