Job Description: SVP – KDB+ Technology, Equities Electronic Trading

Location: New York City, NY / Jersey City, NJ

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Salary Range: $176,000 - $220,000 per annum

Job Overview:

Seeking a hands-on KDB+ specialist to design and optimize high-performance, low-latency market data and analytics platforms supporting electronic trading.

Must-Have Skills

• Recent, hands-on KDB+/Q development experience.
• Strong experience in low-latency, high-performance systems.
• Financial services, electronic trading, or market-making experience.
• Market data processing and trading analytics expertise.
• System design, architecture, performance tuning, and production support.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, and people management experience.
• Willingness to manage approximately 3–15 developers.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Java development experience.
• First Derivatives (FD) or financial technology consulting background.
• FIX protocol and algorithmic trading knowledge.
• Experience with KDB+ scalability, load balancing, and query optimization.
• Experience with tier-one investment banks, exchanges, or proprietary trading firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize KDB+/Q applications for electronic trading.
• Process high-frequency market data and build analytics platforms.
• Own architecture, production support, and end-to-end delivery.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor developers, and manage the team.

Interview Process – 4 Rounds

Format: Virtual interviews via Zoom. Exact schedules to be confirmed.

• 1. Round 1: Technical experience and KDB+/Q background.
• 2. Round 2: System design, architecture, and low-latency systems.
• 3. Round 3: KDB+ technical questions — No coding round.
• 4. Round 4: Leadership, people management, and strategic decision-making.
