Job Description: Dim Sum Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dim Sum Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will specialize in authentic dim sum preparation, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency in line with luxury hospitality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dim sum dishes (steamed, fried, baked) with precision and creativity.
• Develop and maintain signature dim sum recipes that reflect both tradition and innovation.
• Ensure food quality, portion control, and consistency across all service periods.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with hotel policies.
• Manage kitchen inventory, requisitions, and stock rotation for dim sum ingredients.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to design menus and support banquets/events.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in dim sum techniques and standards.
• Handle guest requests and feedback with professionalism and a guest-centric approach.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Dim Sum Chef in luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, or specialty Chinese kitchens.
• Expertise in traditional dim sum techniques (dumplings, buns, rolls, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, ingredients, and culinary trends.
• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Culinary certification or specialized training in Chinese cuisine preferred.
