A high-growth, Series A startup is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to help scale its accounting function as the business continues to expand rapidly. The company doubled in size over the past year and expects to double again over the next 12 months, creating an opportunity for an accounting professional to take ownership of core accounting operations while helping build the processes, systems, and controls needed to support the next stage of growth.This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering across the business, and improving accounting operations as the company scales.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes to support continued growth.Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams on budgeting, expense management, cash flow visibility, and financial analysis.Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers as needed.Evaluate and improve accounting systems, workflows, and automation to increase efficiency and scalability.Support the implementation of new processes and infrastructure as the business expands.Help build and develop the accounting function, with the opportunity to take on broader responsibilities as the company grows.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and high-growth technology or startup environments.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures.Experience improving accounting processes, implementing controls, and building scalable workflows.Comfortable operating in a hands-on role with changing priorities and evolving processes.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.Experience with modern accounting systems and financial tools; NetSuite experience is a plus.
