Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Lead with 8+ years of experience to lead our Quality Assurance function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the automation strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, mentoring the QA team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software releases. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to drive quality across the SDLC in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the QA Automation team and own the overall test automation strategy across multiple products.
• Define, build, and maintain scalable UI, API, and integration automation frameworks.
• Drive automation adoption and continuously improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and release quality.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and Architects to define test strategies during requirement analysis.
• Review test plans, automation scripts, and test cases to ensure quality standards are met.
• Establish automation best practices, coding standards, and quality gates.
• Mentor and coach QA engineers, conduct code reviews, and support career development within the QA team.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless execution across environments.
• Analyze automation execution results, identify root causes, and work with engineering teams to resolve defects.
• Own release sign-offs from a QA perspective and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Drive non-functional testing initiatives including performance, security, and reliability wherever applicable.
• Participate actively in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Release Planning, and Retrospectives.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend new testing tools, frameworks, and automation technologies

What we are looking for:

Must have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MCA/BCA/BSc/MSc or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with 6+ years in Automation Testing.
• Proven experience leading QA Automation teams in Agile environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
• Strong experience in API automation using REST Assured, Postman, or similar frameworks.
• Expertise in building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong experience with TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience integrating automation suites with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD , or similar CI/CD tools.
• Strong knowledge of Git, version control practices, and test management tools.
• Experience working with SQL databases and validating backend data.
• Solid understanding of Agile, SDLC, STLC, and modern software testing methodologies.
• Experience in test planning, estimation, execution, defect management, and release sign-off.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to have:

• Experience testing SaaS or cloud-native applications.
• Experience in FinTech or financial products.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with accessibility, security, and cross-browser testing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent automation solutions.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian tools.
