Adventist Outpatient Imaging seeks to hire an experienced Lead Mammography Multi- Modality Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging office in Rockville, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Lead Mammography Multi- Modality Technologist you will:
- Performs PET/CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. Demonstrates proficiency in operating gamma cameras, SPECT/CT and PET/CT machines, uptake probes, well counters, dose calibrators, survey meters and all ancillary equipment within Nuclear Medicine department. Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems within PET/CT and Imaging Services pertinent to Nuclear Medicine (RIS, PACS, NMIS, image reformatting)
- Understands principles of radiation safety. Attends quarterly Radiation Safety Committee meetings. Oversee all radiation safety issues.
- Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in PET/CT.
- Maximizes patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume.
- Works with the Director, Manager, Radiologist and Radiation Safety Officer to develop policies, procedures and protocols including dose reduction activities.
- Maintains written protocols for each site and ensures that the protocols in the systems are consistent with the written protocols; Maintains all required NRC/State licenses and participates in departmental inspections
- Is responsible for ACR accreditation requirements and participates in performance improvement initiatives, image quality checks, quality assurance/quality control checks and all other regulatory agency guidelines
- Conducts quarterly modality meetings and monthly office visits to NB, ACC and WOPET
- High school or GED
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- 5 years PET/CT and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology experience preferred
- 1 year lead experience preferred
- State of Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist license, ARRT (CT)(N) or NMTCB (CNMT)
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong customer service & critical thinking skills
- Effective verbal and written skills

- Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience
- Image reformatting experience preferred
- Venous access competency preferred
