Automation Technician | Buffalo Grove, ILWork Mode: OnsiteSchedule: 1 st Shift 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM | 2nd Shift 6:00 PM to 6:00 AMDuration: 12 Months contract

Job Summary:The Automation Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, programming, and optimizing automated assembly systems, including robots, conveyors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and vision systems.
Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, and HMI issues.Diagnose and resolve problems with robots, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and pneumatic componentsProgram and troubleshoot industrial robots such as Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, or Wittmann.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.Modify PLC/HMI programs and troubleshoot I/O and communication issues.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.Support equipment installation, commissioning, and production line changes.Maintain automation documentation and equipment records.Support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.2–5 years of experience in automation, robotics, controls, or a related field.Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and pneumatic systems.Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.Experience with robot programming and troubleshooting.
Pay Scale-Anticipated hourly pay range: specific range such as ($35/hr to $37/hr)
