Role Description The Counselor – Chennai – Musee Musical role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The counselor will guide prospective and current students in choosing suitable courses and instruments, explain curriculum and exam pathways, and provide accurate information about Trinity College exam structures. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling walk-in and phone inquiries, conducting consultations with students and families, supporting admissions and enrollment processes, and maintaining detailed records of student interactions. The role also involves coordinating with teachers and administrative staff to ensure a smooth learning experience, organizing or supporting orientation sessions, and following up with students to encourage regular attendance and exam readiness. The counselor is expected to represent the school professionally, promote its programs, and contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment.
Qualifications
Student counseling and guidance skills, including the ability to assess learner needs and recommend suitable courses or instruments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, families, and faculty in a professional and empathetic manner. Organizational and administrative abilities, such as maintaining records, handling inquiries, and supporting admission and enrollment processes. Basic knowledge or genuine interest in music education, instruments, and exam-based learning frameworks. Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage. Ability to work on-site full time in Hyderabad and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Prior experience in counseling, education, or customer-facing roles is preferred. Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, education, or a related field is beneficial.
