English Teacher

Scotle High School is looking for a passionate and dynamic  English Teacher who believes in nurturing confident communicators, critical thinkers, and lifelong readers. The ideal candidate should be committed to creating engaging, student-centred learning experiences and fostering a love for the English language.

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for students in Grades 1–8.
• Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening skills.
• Foster a strong reading culture through literature, storytelling, discussions, and creative writing.
• Create an inclusive, positive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess student learning, provide constructive feedback, and maintain academic records.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.
• Participate actively in school events, professional development programmes, and departmental initiatives.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English with a B.Ed.
• Experience teaching English at the Primary or Middle School level is preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
• Passion for innovative, activity-based, and inquiry-driven teaching.
• Strong classroom management, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
