This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and serve as the company's senior finance leader, reporting directly to the CEO.
The OpportunityAs Controller, you will be responsible for designing and building the finance and accounting infrastructure that supports the company's next phase of growth. You will oversee all accounting and finance operations while partnering closely with executive leadership and investors to provide the financial visibility needed to scale responsibly.This role offers the rare opportunity to help build a best-in-class finance organization from the ground floor, with a clear path to developing and leading a larger team as the business grows.
What You'll DoBuild and lead the company's accounting and finance infrastructureEstablish monthly close processes, financial reporting, and management reporting packagesImplement and manage accounting systems and chart of accounts structuresDevelop accounting policies, internal controls, and scalable financial processesOversee all core accounting activities, including:Accounts PayableAccounts ReceivablePayrollGeneral LedgerCash ManagementBank ReconciliationsPartner with branch-level accounting teams to ensure consistency and complianceSupport acquisition accounting and M&A integration activitiesDevelop financial models, forecasts, and operational analysesProvide strategic financial insights to the CEO and leadership teamManage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external partnersAssist in selecting and implementing future financial systemsRecruit, mentor, and build a growing finance and accounting team
What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA strongly preferred6-10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experiencePrior experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, xzbcwsv or similar finance leadership roleExperience within insurance, financial services, professional services, or acquisition-driven organizations preferredExposure to title insurance or a multi-entity/roll-up business model is highly desirableStrong technical accounting knowledge, including:Financial reportingRevenue recognitionInternal controlsGeneral accounting operationsExperience building processes and infrastructure in a scaling organizationExperience managing multiple legal entities and complex reporting structuresFamiliarity with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platformsExperience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or transaction-related accounting activities is a plusStrong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executives, investors, and board members
