Job Description
About the RoleNamdar Realty Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to join our in-house legal team. This position will primarily focus on managing and overseeing lawsuits and legal claims brought against the company's commercial properties, including premises liability claims, personal injury lawsuits, property-related disputes, and other litigation matters.

ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee lawsuits and legal claims filed against the company's commercial properties and related entities.Handle litigation matters involving premises liability, personal injury claims, slip-and-fall incidents, property damage, negligence claims, and other property-related disputes.Review and evaluate new lawsuits, complaints, and legal claims to determine appropriate next steps and defense strategies.Draft, review, and prepare pleadings, motions, legal briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documents.Conduct legal research and provide recommendations regarding litigation strategies, potential liability, and risk exposure.Represent the company in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations, as appropriate.Coordinate with outside counsel, insurance carriers, and claims adjusters regarding ongoing litigation matters.Work closely with property managers and internal departments to gather incident reports, documentation, witness statements, and other information relevant to legal claims.Review insurance coverage and assist with coordinating the defense of insured claims.Monitor litigation deadlines, court filings, case developments, and settlement discussions.Evaluate potential settlements and provide recommendations to management regarding case resolution.Maintain accurate and organized records of litigation matters, including case status, deadlines, and outcomes.Provide legal guidance to management regarding potential liability, litigation risks, and preventative measures.
QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably defending property owners, commercial real estate companies, or other businesses against lawsuits.Experience handling premises liability, personal injury defense, negligence claims, or insurance defense litigation strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal research.Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and other litigation materials.Experience with depositions, court appearances, and settlement negotiations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple litigation matters and meet deadlines. xzbcwsv Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
