Job DescriptionA large concrete construction company is seeking an Estimator to support preconstruction efforts in the NYC market. This role is heavily focused on concrete estimating and preconstruction, with responsibility for preparing time, cost, and labor estimates using specialized methodologies, while also supporting awarded projects with ongoing cost estimate alignment to operations. The Estimator will work closely with clients throughout the bidding process, proactively following up to address obstacles and increase award success. xzbcwsv Strong preference for candidates with established industry relationships who can drive opportunities beyond posted bids.
Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesLead and support concrete estimating and bidding lifecycleReceive invitations to bid and evaluate opportunitiesEngage directly with GCs, developers, and ownersIdentify off-market / relationship-driven project opportunitiesPerform quantity takeoffs, pricing, and proposal developmentAct as primary POC for bid process and client follow-upBuild relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to secure pricingAssemble proposals and ensure competitive, accurate bidsSupport transition to operations post-award:Budget alignment, scheduling, manpower planning
