Job Description

<p>The Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor’s office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures. Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be <b>assigned):</b> </p><ul><li>Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures</li><li>Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and</li></ul> document in the EMR * Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting) <ul><li>Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education</li><li>Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and</li></ul> pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed * Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service * Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies * Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance <b>Medical Assistant Required Skills and Experience:</b> <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience</li><li>CMA or RMA certification preferred</li><li>Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)</li><li>Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment</li><li>Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused</li><li>Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)</li></ul> <b>Medical Assistant Pay Range:</b> * $21 - $24/hr based on experience Medical Assistant Benefits Offered <ul><li>Health Insurance (Single &amp; Family plans available)</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Disability Insurance</li><li>401(k) plan with Company Match</li><li>Employee Discount Program</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Paid Holidays</li></ul> <b>Medical Assistant Physical Requirements:</b> The physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
