French Teacher Responsibilities:Teach several French courses at various proficiency levels for lower, middle, or upper school students.Teach French language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods.Create opportunities for students to practice conversational French and improve pronunciation and comprehension.Teaching students about French culture, which may include festivals, traditional food, and dress, and social conventions.Organizing fun events where students can showcase their French language skills.Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.Assist with extracurricular activities and school community activities.
French Teacher Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred.Proven written and verbal proficiency in French.2-3 years of previous teaching experience.No teaching license or credential is required.Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community.
