Role Description The Video Editor role at Cosmora Productions is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting and organizing clips, and editing video content according to creative briefs and brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include cutting and trimming footage, adding transitions, effects, graphics, and music, syncing audio, and ensuring smooth narrative flow. The role requires collaborating with directors, producers, and other team members to refine storylines and meet project deadlines, as well as preparing final outputs in required formats for digital and broadcast platforms. The Video Editor is also expected to maintain organized project files, stay updated on editing techniques and trends, and contribute creative ideas to enhance overall production quality. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency with professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Strong skills in motion graphics and visual effects using tools such as After Effects or similar applications. Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, color correction, and basic sound editing for high-quality output. Experience creating content for digital platforms, social media, and branded video campaigns. Ability to interpret creative briefs, maintain visual consistency, and deliver edits aligned with brand and project goals. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment. Relevant education in film, media, communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A strong portfolio or showreel showcasing a range of video editing work across different styles and formats.
