Engineering Manager / Senior Engineer - Solar PV Design

<p><b>Role Overview</b> We're seeking an Engineering Manager / Senior Design Engineer to lead the technical execution of solar PV projects across the full project lifecycle - from capacity sizing and development engineering through detailed design and technology selection. This role is a key technical contributor delivering high-quality engineering on utility-scale hybrid (solar-plus-storage) projects.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Perform PV system sizing and energy yield analysis, including DC/AC ratio optimization, loss modeling, and production estimates</li><li>Lead development-stage engineering, supporting feasibility, site layout, single-line diagrams, and preliminary design for project development teams</li><li>Execute detailed engineering deliverables, including electrical design, string/inverter sizing, equipment specifications, protection schemes, and balance-of-plant integration</li><li>Drive technology selection and evaluation of modules, inverters, trackers, and combiner/MV equipment, including technical due diligence on vendors and OEMs</li><li>Conduct shading, performance ratio, and degradation analysis over project life</li><li>Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation, and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers</li><li>Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, UL, IEC, and applicable grid/interconnection requirements)</li></ul><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering or related field</li><li>Solid experience in solar PV engineering across sizing, development, and detailed design phases</li><li>Hands-on experience with PV technology selection and vendor evaluation</li><li>Familiarity with energy yield modeling and system performance analysis</li><li>Knowledge of applicable electrical and grid codes (NEC, IEEE, UL, IEC, etc.)</li><li>Proficiency with relevant tools (e.g., PVsyst, PVcase, AutoCAD, Helioscope, PSS E, or similar)</li><li>Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage own deliverables within project timelines</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?Q5qtMpIwlbIgy%2fqVYseNF97ij%2ff9Di%2bBe" width="0" height="0" />
