Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Design Associate with good AutoCAD skills and basic hands-on experience in residential interior design and technical drawings.

The candidate will support the design and technical team in preparing 2D drawings based on approved designs and 3D concepts. The role involves creating accurate drawings, incorporating design inputs, and coordinating with senior designers and the QC team to ensure drawings are suitable for production and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings for residential interior projects using AutoCAD.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, and basic construction/detail drawings based on approved designs.
• Convert approved 3D designs and design concepts into clear and accurate 2D drawings.
• Incorporate dimensions, material details, hardware specifications, and other required technical information.
• Support the Senior Designer/Technical Design Team in preparing production and execution drawings.
• Coordinate with the 3D Design Team and QC Team to incorporate design and technical corrections.
• Review drawings for basic accuracy, dimensions, detailing, and completeness before submission.
• Make necessary revisions based on feedback from senior designers, QC, and project teams.
• Ensure drawings are completed within assigned timelines with good attention to detail.
• Support the team during production and execution by providing required drawing clarifications.

Required Skills & Experience

• Good proficiency in AutoCAD with reasonable drafting speed and accuracy.
• 1–3 years of experience in residential interiors, technical drafting, or production drawings.
• Basic understanding of plans, elevations, sections, and interior detailing.
• Ability to understand 3D designs/renders and convert them into 2D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of interior materials, hardware, and construction methods.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn technical aspects of interior execution.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take guidance from senior designers.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to modular kitchens and wardrobes.
• Experience in residential interior projects.
• Basic experience in customised interior detailing.
• Exposure to production, site execution, or installation processes.
• Candidates with experience in AutoCAD drafting for interior projects will be preferred.

Key Requirement

The candidate should have good AutoCAD skills, basic technical knowledge of residential interiors, and the ability to prepare accurate 2D drawings based on approved designs with guidance from senior designers. The candidate should be willing to learn, adapt to project requirements, and work closely with the design and technical teams.
