I’m partnered with an elite quantitative trading firm who are looking for an exceptional Network Engineer to help design, build and scale their global network infrastructure, supporting everything from low-latency production trading and market data distribution to large-scale research compute, GPU clusters and high-performance storage environments.
You'll have broad technical ownership across network design, architecture, automation and performance optimisation. Working closely with Systems, Infrastructure and Trading teams, you'll be responsible for building new network capabilities, improving existing infrastructure and troubleshooting complex issues across a global environment.
RequirementsDeep understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, including BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP and multicast (PIM/IGMP).Extensive experience designing, building and scaling high-performance network infrastructure.Strong hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, Juniper or similar networking platforms.Advanced troubleshooting and packet analysis skills using Wireshark, tcpdump or similar tools.Experience with network automation and scripting using Python, Ansible or similar technologies.Exposure to low-latency networking, HPC/GPU infrastructure, optical networking or large-scale data centre environments is highly desirable. xzbcwsv
The firm offers significant technical autonomy, substantial investment in its infrastructure and can be aggressive on compensation for exceptional engineers
The role can be based out of their New York City or Chicago office.
